Grief is something we all go through at some point in our lives. For chronically ill people we experience a very different type of grief. It’s a grief for a life we’ll never get to live. It’s a grief for normality, a grief for health, a grief for the milestones of life. We go through the five stages of grief; denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, in a very unique way. Unique both from other people and unique from each other.

I’ve been experiencing my grief for most of my 32 years. I am still processing it despite starting the process as a child. The grief is so strong…
